Avant-Garde Landscape Design - Orb House
Orb House – Kew, designed by Bojan Simic Architecture is a prime example of Avant-Garde Landscape Design. The project is located on a site overlooking Studley Park and the Yarra River.
This concept pavilion required a landscape that embraced the dramatic styling of the building.
This landscape design borrowed from the simple geometric architectural lines to create a number of striking outdoor spaces.
These included a front garden retained by a mono-formed embankment and 2 private open courtyard designs. A small internal summer court using a cambered garden wall and industrial metal screening, and a central open space that contained a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and entertaining area.
